Second Grade
This year the second graders will be building a community, writing city stories, and doing reports on whales, presidents, planets and zoo animals. They will also be learning about U.S. states and capitals and dissecting sheep and cow eyes. They will visit the Nature Center, Chenery Auditorium and the Binder Park Zoo. The second grade class enjoys cooking projects and buddy activities with the sixth grade.
Misty Chadderdon
A second grade teacher at Kalamazoo Country Day School, Misty Chadderdon is known by all as Mrs. C. She has an undergraduate degree in elementary education, an early childhood endorsement and a master's degree in reading, all from Western Michigan University. Mrs. C, her husband and son live near Vicksburg.
