
Nick Edgerton
2010-2011 is Nick Edgerton's 26th year in independent schools. Born in Pennsylvania, Nick received his Bachelor's Degree in English and American Language and Literature with honors from Brown University. He then earned a Master of Arts Degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. He taught English for twelve years at The Kildonan School, a boarding school for dyslexic children located in New York State. He also tutored children using the Orton-Gillingham Approach and eventually became department chair and Dean of Students. Then, for two years he was Head of Upper School at The Mclean School in Potomac Maryland. In 2000, he was appointed Headmaster of Pine Cobble School in Williamstown, MA. After ten years there, he and his family moved to Kalamazoo in the summer of 2010. He and his wife, Liz, have two children; Will, 14, graduated from Country Day in 2011, and Lily is in seventh grade here. All the Edgertons enjoy living in Kalamazoo!
