Misty Chadderdon

Hello, I am the second grade teacher, Misty Chadderdon, although everyone calls me Mrs. C. I have been teaching at KCDS since 1989. I have an undergraduate degree in elementary education, as well as an early childhood endorsement. I also have a master's degree in reading, all from Western Michigan University. In addition, I am a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor and received an Excellence in Education grant in 2004 which allowed me to travel to Washington, D.C.

My husband and I built our home ourselves, on a large parcel of land out in the country in the Vicksburg area. I love to take nature walks, plant flowers, work in the vegetable garden, or just sit under a tree and read. During the summer months, I like to go RVing with my extended family. I have traveled to many of the areas of the United States, camping and riding ATVs. My husband and I have one son who attended KCDS a few years ago when it was Kalamazoo Academy.
