Athletics

Kalamazoo Country Day athletic teams compete in the Small Schools' League. KCDS sponsors teams in girls' basketball, boys' basketball, girls' volleyball, coed cross country, and track. Games or meets take place after school. Volleyball starts the first day of school and runs until the end of October with an end of the season tournament. Boys' Basketball starts at the beginning of November and runs until the middle of January. The Boys' Basketball tournament is played Monday through Wednesday at the end of the season. Girls' Basketball starts directly after the boys season in January and finishes with a Monday through Wednesday tournament in March. Track and Field takes place at Hackett High School and is run through a separate program. If you would like more information please contact Erin Kucera. KCDS sports are open to all middle school students. A physical exam and an athletic fee of $65.00 needs to be turned in before a student may play.  Athletes must maintain good grades and all homework has to be up to date to be eligible to compete.
