First Grade
This year the first graders will be studying continents, verbs, nutrition, penguins, time, money, plants and butterflies, along with many other exciting topics. The class will be going to the Nature Center and the Kalamazoo Symphony. The first graders like first grade because they get to make new friends.
Elizabeth Stannard-Letcher
A teacher at KCDS since 1992, Mrs. Stannard-Fletcher earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education, with an early childhood emphasis, from Western Michigan University. She and her husband live with their cat on a lake in Kalamazoo.
