The Kalamazoo Country Day School Annual Fund is designed to help make up the difference between tuition and the actual cost of a Kalamazoo Country Day School education. The funds raised will support the programs, experiences and activities which prepare our students for lifelong achievement.

How To Give To The Annual Fund
Cash & Check
The easiest way to make a donation to The Annual Fund is by check.
Checks should be made out to Kalamazoo Country Day School and mailed to:

Donations may also be brought to the school office.
Securities & Stock
This is a great way to make a donation to The Annual Fund.
Giving securities and/or stock provides you with a tax deduction for the appreciated value of the stock without incurring capital gains tax.
Our bookkeeper would be happy to provide details on how to make stock gifts.
Gift Matching
Many employers will match donations to The Annual Fund - increasing the impact of your gift.
If your employer (or your spouse's) has a gift matching program, please indicate on the envelope. Enclose your employer's gift matching form with your donation, or ask your HR Department for more information.
Pledges
If you would like to make a donation but are unable to do so right now, you may make a pledge to The Annual Fund. On the envelope mark pledge and indicate when you plan on making your donation and a friendly reminder will be sent to you around that time. Pledges for the current Annual Fund campaign must be paid by June 1, 2010.

Q. What about tuition, doesn't that cover the operating needs of the school?
A. Tuition does not meet the full cost of educating a student at Kalamazoo Country Day School. Tuition and fees covered 87% of the operating budget last year. Thus the Annual Fund is vital to helping make up the difference - the difference being additional opportunities and stronger programs for Kalamazoo Country Day School students and faculty.
Q. How much is the "gap" per student?
A. Annual Fund dollars help make up the difference between tuition and the actual cost of a Kalamazoo Country Day School education. The average cost per student which is not paid for by tuition is about $1,200.

A. Minimizing the annual rate of increase in tuition helps make Kalamazoo Country Day School more affordable and accessible to a wi de population i
n the Kalamazoo/Portage area. A successful Annual Fund is one of the ways that allows the school to achieve a student body that is diverse and multi-talented.
Q. Who supports the Annual Fund?
A. Every member of the Kalamazoo Country Day School community - alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and other friends - is asked to give generously to the Annual Fund at the level appropriate
for him or her.
Q. How much should we give?
A. You are the only one who knows how much you are able to give and we ask only that you give to the best of your ability. Any size
gift is greatly appreciated, and each gift has a direct impact on the quality of the school experience for our children and teachers.
Q. Is my gift tax-deductible?
A. YES! Your gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible under the applicable sections of the Internal Revenue Code. A receipt for your gift will be sent shortly after your contribution is received and processed by the school office.
Q. As an Alumnus, I'd like to know why Kalamazoo Country Day School asks me to make a yearly contribution to The Annual Fund?
A. Your own Kalamazoo Country Day School/Kalamazoo Academy education was supported by alumni who came before you and we hope that you will show the same generosity in preserving traditions and promoting excellence for future generations of students.
